I skimmed the book. What a weird story and a strange couple. The H is suppose to be an alpha male but he just appears abusive. He lets another woman drive a wedge between him and the h..his wife. The h is suppose to be a strong woman, but she lets her hormones do all the talking. She thinks the H is cheating on her, but she continues to have sex with him. Every time they have an argument about the OW or children or anything...they wind up having sex. Then there is the OW....all she does is spout a bunch of racist comments towards the h throughout the story. The h has reason to believe the H is cheating on her since she saw the H and OW kissing, caught them in bed, and then finds the OW in their home because she has a key. He doesn't clear up any of these situations until the very end.Not a recommend.

Oh my gosh what a great book I give this book 50 stars out of 10 -this book is out of this world great I am very very glad I bought this book I saw it but passed it over but just kept coming back to it and because I had never read the author just did not give it a chance but I am glad I did this is the kind of interracial romance that keeps you wanting more I was sorry for the book to end but I have a new author I am ready for more a very very good book the romance is out of this world buy it no disappointment here
This is the 3rd book l have read by DM Mortier and she manages to exceed my expectations every time. I enjoyed this book on my 2 hrs flight on vacation and read it again on the beach. I was blown away by the passion and storyline. The female love interest is a little immature in the beginning but as you read,you begin to understand her immaturity and insecurities. Great sex scenes and nasty jealousy from a spurned associate makes it very interesting.
Grabbed me from the very start with the idea of this story!! Right from the start you are given the idea that Rinah has caught Dominic cheating, but Dominic isn't cheating but is being secretive. I wanted to scream at some of the actions of these two because you could just feel their unconditional love dripping off each page of this story!! Really dove into interracial relationship issues and faced them in a very respectful way. I TOTALLY recommend this book to those looking for an interracial romance that is unpredictable, sexy, funny, drama filled, but beautiful.
WOW! D.M. Mortier has become my favorite author. This story was so interesting and completely captivating. The relationship between Dominic and Rinha was so good and full of drama, my kind of read! I love when the story end in one book not 10 volumes to tell one story! Great job!
I believe this is the first book I've read by you and it won't be the last. I enjoyed Dominic & Rinah's story. He was the very very typical Alpha male with a cherry on top but that's what made him soooooo scrumptious. Rinah tried her best to hold her own but would melt like ice cream on a hot summer day when he would push the envelope. Plus you kept us intrigued about what was really going on with his other work obligations. However I think Dominic should have been more aware of Victor & his sister's conniving ways but then again in the end he was still just a man without a clue;-) A fine sexy man but still needed to be schooled by his Woman😉
Two particularly beautiful people are instantly attracted to each other. He is a Navy Seal involved in secret missions which puts his family at risk, yet the far greater risk was a woman working in his own office. She deeply resented his wife and his love for her. She stopped at nothing to get between them. She was mad. It came to a near divorce before they learnt to trust one another completely. I enjoyed this story but was frustrated by Dominic's expectation of Rianah's trust despite all evidence to the contrary and no explanation from him. When their roles were reversed he was eventually able to understand her all-consuming jealousy. Saw an error, “I think nothing of the sought.” It immediately leads to the assuption that the author is uneducated. Editing is important.
...a domineering bully who masquerades as an alpha male. The title intrigued me - expected more than what was delivered. It is not often that I read about an alpha male who does nothing for me but my patience ran out in the first part of the story. Dominic's tone and overall manner made me dislike him immensely. His dictator style just had me rolling my eyes and shaking my head. I give this author props for getting such a visceral response from me since I kept reading. My biggest disappointment was with the female characters - just too predictable. I gave this a three solely for how the female characters were presented - submissive, weak, deranged, racist, boring - especially the continued focus on the wife's beauty such that I forgot that she was even a lawyer. Spare me the cliche of the heroine being so emotionally frustrated that she blindly allows others to upset her life and marital relationship solely through sophomoric manipulation. Given what was done I am just SMH that at know time did it appear that the wife explicitly told, the husband that everything she heard was from the other woman - this seemed to occur only towards the end. Don't get me started on the husband who, with so much military training and business sense, could not see he was being played. For once I'd like to read about two female antagonist who are mature enough to bow out gracefully when one realizes that "check mate" has been achieved. How about writing a story where their professional skills are used as the means to drive a wedge between a husband and wife instead of the standard go to of racism/name calling and physical violence. Come on - get creative. Break away from the norm. One thing I did not get, if the husband was such a bada$$ and so worried about / loved his wife so much, as a "lethal weapon" why were the brother and sister allowed to live?
